A Whitman Street resident was arrested after hitting a Mike’s House of Pizza employee with a sub. “This guy apparently got a questionable sandwich, and rather than be civilized he used the sandwich to hit an employee across the head,” Mike House of Pizza owner Spyro Spyropoulos said, adding that the man wanted to come behind the counter, but other employees stopped him. Lt. Joseph Yakavonis said Officer Bailey was called to the scene and walked in on the customer making threats. Police arrested Kevin Ronald Hayward, 42, of 748 Whitman St., on a warrant and assault and battery charge. |
